Mike Hedding has over twenty-five years of professional experience in the aviation industry where he has worked for a several companies in a wide range of capacities including aircraft maintenance, finance, marketing and sales. Even before becoming a professional in the industry, aviation was a significant part of his life growing up as the son of a United States Air Force Officer. Traveling around the U.S. and abroad with his family, he was raised around a variety of military aircraft by the time he graduated high school in Phoenix, Arizona.
Joining the U.S. Navy after graduating from High School, Hedding began his aircraft service career by training and becoming an Aviation Structural Mechanic where he served as a Flightdeck Troubleshooter for a squadron operating the F-14 Tomcat. Upon serving four years and achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class, he was “Honorably” discharged and entered the civilian aviation industry again.
Hedding enrolled in the Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic program at Pima College in Tucson, Arizona while working for a local FBO as a Line Mechanic. During this time he also used his spare time to train and build hours toward his FAA Private Pilot Certificate. Upon completion of the A&P program at Pima, he was accepted into Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Business Administration.
Over his aviation career he has worked for several companies representing aircraft manufacturers including Piper Aircraft, Cessna, Mooney, Diamond and Pilatus as a Regional Aircraft Sales Manager. Joining Cutter Aviation in 2012, Hedding is now Regional Sales Manager for Aircraft Technical Services and oversees aircraft maintenance service sales for customers in Texas.
Hedding is active as an FAA Certificated Private Pilot with Multi-engine and Instrument Ratings and currently has over 3000 hours of flight time.
Mike Hedding works from the Cutter Aviation Dallas-Addison location at Addison Municipal Airport (ADS) in Addison, TX. He lives locally in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife Chayla and their two children, Alexis and Connor.
