Biography
Born in the Houston, Texas area, Dan O’Banion is a 37-year veteran of the general aviation industry. Dan began his career in the US Air Force to see the world and spent his entire enlistment at Randolph AFB, outside San Antonio as a jet engine technician.
After his discharge, Dan returned to Houston to pursue his college degree. While driving past Hobby Airport in Houston one day, he realized how much he missed the smell of burning jet fuel. At the end of the semester; he left college and began a program at an A&P Mechanic School.
Dan has held several levels of responsibility at various maintenance organizations and companies throughout his career; A&P mechanic, Director of Maintenance for a Part 135 Charter Operator, Inspector, Chief Inspector, and is currently the Manager of Aircraft Services for Cutter Aviation San Antonio.
