Aircraft Acquisition Seminar 2012 on June 2, 2012 – Hosted by Cutter Piper Sales at American Aircraft Maintenance at John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Cutter Piper Sales, the Authorized Dealer for Piper Aircraft in Southern California and Hawaii, is pleased to announce their upcoming Aircraft Acquisition Seminar on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at John Wayne-Orange County Airport (SNA) in Santa Ana, California.

From 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at the American Aircraft Maintenance facility at KSNA, attendees will be able to speak with knowledgeable representatives of the Cutter Piper Sales team, including industry specialists who are well-versed on the intricacies of purchasing, financing and insuring a new or used aircraft.

Phil Scharber, Regional Sales Manager for Cutter Piper Sales, says the event offers a valuable opportunity for both current and prospective aircraft owners to meet face-to-face with the Cutter Piper Sales team.

“In addition to offering a wealth of information to prospective buyers, this event will also be our first true ‘open house’ for Cutter Piper Sales,” Scharber explained. “This gives people the chance to learn more about our company, our aircraft, and the variety of services we have available.”

A series of informative presentations will also be held throughout the event, conducted by industry experts on the topics of greatest importance to aircraft buyers in today’s market:

  • Thomas A. Alston of Aero & Marine Tax Professionals will present “How to Legally Avoid California Sales and Use Tax,” a discussion of legal methods to reduce the amount of taxes paid on aircraft purchases in the state.
  • Daniel Cheung of Aviation Tax Consultants, LLC will discuss aircraft ownership structure, as well as how to take advantage of bonus tax depreciation when buying an aircraft.
  • Steve Smestad, President and CEO of Air Fleet Capital, will speak about aircraft financing options and alternatives.

In addition to these presentations, the Cutter Piper Sales team will host an informative discussion about Piper Aircraft, including details about the manufacturer’s extensive aircraft lineup for 2012.

“Our goals are to introduce the Cutter Piper Sales team to prospective aircraft buyers, as well as to current owners, whether they own a Piper or a competing aircraft,” Scharber added. “Combine this opportunity with the informative presentations that will be held throughout the event, and I think we’re providing a valuable service to aircraft owners and prospective buyers.”

Additionally, a new pressurized piston Piper Mirage and a new turboprop Piper Meridian will be available for prospective buyers to explore, and discover for themselves the numerous cabin refinements made for 2012 that significantly enhance both pilot and passenger comfort.
